very year, the Flipz Academy community gathers for one of the most inspiring events on our calendar — the Recreational Gala Day, where our youngest gymnasts and ninja athletes take centre stage to showcase their progress, courage, and creativity.
This year’s Gala Day will be held on Saturday 15 November 2025 at 5:30 PM inside our vibrant gym at Southport Park Shopping Centre. Families and friends are invited to witness an unforgettable evening filled with skill displays, obstacle adventures, laughter, and proud smiles.

Recreational Gala Day isn’t just an end-of-year display; it’s a culmination of every child’s effort, focus, and persistence. Over the year, students across all Flipz Academy recreational programs — from Prep Gymnastics to Ninja Parkour — have been learning, improving, and developing skills that extend far beyond the gym.
Each jump, swing, tumble, and cartwheel represents hours of training, self-belief, and teamwork. Gala Day gives them a moment to perform confidently in front of a cheering crowd — a milestone that nurtures pride, self-esteem, and resilience.

Who Can Attend: Parents, families & friends of all recreational students
Dress Code for Participants: Comfortable and colourful active clothes – shorts or T-shirt
Our youngest gymnasts are full of curiosity and wonder. These children will display the foundational shapes, balances, and movements that form the building blocks of gymnastics. Parents can expect charming mini-routines filled with smiles, high-fives, and adorable concentration faces.
Ninja Kids (4.5 – 6 years)
Agility, balance, and coordination meet imagination! Ninja Kids will conquer obstacle courses designed just for them — jumping, crawling, swinging, and landing safely. This program encourages body control and fearless fun.
Gymnastics (6 – 12 years)
Our primary-age gymnasts have worked hard to master cartwheels, handstands, round-offs, bridges, and beam walks. They’ll perform short, choreographed routines that highlight confidence, posture, and precision — a true display of discipline and creativity.
Trampoline & Tumbling (6 – 9 years)
The energy of our tumblers will light up the floor! Expect dynamic runs, trampoline combinations, and safe landings — each athlete demonstrating coordination, spatial awareness, and control.
Acro Skills (4.5 – 10 years)
Teamwork takes centre stage in Acro Skills. Pairs and small groups will showcase lifts, balances, and creative poses that depend on trust and communication. This program celebrates collaboration — and lots of applause.
Ninja Parkour (6 – 10 years)
Athletes will race through customised parkour setups featuring vaults, precision jumps, and creative obstacle sequences. It’s fast, fun, and inspiring to watch — a perfect blend of movement and self-expression.
🎭 What to Expect on the Night
When families arrive, they’ll walk into a transformed gym buzzing with excitement — colourful lighting, and a cheering audience. Coaches will guide the children through circuit-based displays across Floor, Bars, and Beam, ensuring every participant gets time to shine.
There’s no competition here — only celebration. Every child’s effort is recognised, every performance applauded.
Between rotations, our senior athletes will deliver short showcase performances, offering younger gymnasts a glimpse into the skills they can achieve with time, consistency, and passion.

💪 Senior Athlete Showcase
To inspire our younger athletes, our senior gymnastics and acrobatics teams will present short highlight performances. These routines showcase what years of training, discipline, and teamwork can achieve. Their grace, power, and precision will remind every child — “this could be you one day!”

A Community Event for the Whole Family
Parents, grandparents, siblings, and friends are all welcome. We design the evening to be inclusive, comfortable, and memorable. Photography and cheering are encouraged (no flash during performances, please).
We encourage families to stay after the displays for a group photo and short acknowledgements from our coaching team.
1. Do children need a ticket? No. All registered recreational participants attend free. Parents, family members, and friends must purchase tickets to attend.
2. Will there be allocated seating? General admission seating is available on a first-come basis. We recommend arriving early.
3. Can we take photos or videos? Yes – you may capture your child’s performance, provided flashes are off for safety.
4. How long will the event run? The evening will run for approximately 90 minutes, including all rotations and senior showcases.
5. Will there be food available? You’re welcome to bring water bottles.
6. What if I miss the ticket deadline? Unfortunately, due to safety and capacity limits, we cannot sell tickets after Thursday 13 November 2025 or at the door. Please purchase online before the deadline.
